The Santa Ship is the life story of Carrie McPhearson. Her story is told as a first person narrative from her birth to her present age of 44. It is Christmas Eve of 1999 in Victoria, British Columbia. Carrie is putting her recollections into print on the computer in her brother's home prior to a gathering of family and friends. As an acquaintance , of Carrie, says of her, "She has gone through the lives of ten women." In flashback Carrie recalls a long series of struggles and much pain. Success and happiness has been way too brief and most artificial in her world. The only reassuring constant is a security blanket named Miss Anderson.
Carrie's younger brother becomes her only lifeline. The brother talks Carrie into boarding The Santa Ship. The journey forever brings perspective and long overdue true happiness to her life.
